BlackLabs, Transtelco y TechnologyHUB invite you through RESET to the 2017 Hackathon.

A Hackathon is the combination of talents in a group of people to try and solve a problem in a creative way using technology. After your idea is made into a prototype, it will be presented to a jury of experts, who will then choose the winning team.

On November 15-16 2017, the first edition of the RESET Hackathon will be held at Ciudad Juárez & El Paso, TX., respectively.

Teams can have up to 3 members, and can belong to different areas of knowledge.

You can bring your own team. If you don't have one, you can form a team the day of the event.

Teams will have a meal schedule y access to the coffee break area.

The event is completely free of charge and open to the public.

The project will have to be developed during the event, and the partipants must be the original authors of the project.

Each team will only be able to register a single project for development of a prototype or finished product.

Team members will have to bring their own computers to work on the project.

The team has freedom to choose the technologies, platforms (web, desktop or mobile) and programming language they want to use.

Team members must choose a leader, who will be responsible for all communication with the staff.

Participants must bring their own devices or materials needed to develop the project.

Teams will have Development Kits available.

The organizers will have different technologies available so that teams can experiment with them.

The team can focus their solution to any of the following technologies:
• Internet Of Things
• Software y Hardware
• Mobile Applications
• Wearables


Use your creativity to prove that safe transactions can be used in daily tasks.


Use diverse technologies to solve problems related to automation and manufacturing.


Create tools using technology to aid in risk prevention.


Make a contribution to Earth using technology to solve environmental problems.

The jury comprises technology and innovation experts.
The jury will choose the 3 best projects, judging each project's use of technology, viability, functionality and innovation.
The jury's decision is unappealable.

Deyanira Juliet Murga

An active entrepreneur, proactive, energetic with more than 15 years of professional experience in security industry. Active member and leader of the worldwide community of security professionals and President of the International Crime Prevention and Loss Prevention Council (ASIS International) which generates information, regulations, standards and guides for security professionals. Takes part in the Washington D.C. office of the Millennium Project, working in analysis and recommendations for future challenges using a collective system of intelligence. Teacher in subjects related to security, has contributed in book publications for the security industry, has created forums and international events related to security, and founder of multiple initiatives including the securityNextGen, and contributes as a mentor for groups of young entrepreneurs.

Passionate about helping others to reach their goals and supporting those less fortunate to obtain better opportunities and continue their development. Is a member of the founding members of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime of Mexico, which focuses on technology innovation for crime and violence prevention.
